Looks almost like a snake and a walking stick; or perhaps some stick figures 69ing it! 
We've got stuff like this where I live too, and yes it is neat. However, it's mostly what termites carve in wood. Sometimes I'll pull off the bark from an old tree and see all these different crazy lines that always somehow look like some sort of frantic mad artist's work who knows he's so small in a world so big; so he tries to catch our attention by doing the only thing he can. O_o
If I'm not mistaken though, this is on a rock, correct? Or is it perhaps some petrified wood?
